Events @ Southfield Community Church:

Though we are a small church, we try to have as many outings as possible.  On Memorial Day morning, we gathered for breakfast together, and afterwards we watched the Memorial Day parade in the nearby town of Farmington.

On June 23rd, a group of 20 or so are going to HomePlate 2001 - an event at Comerica Park including a Tiger Game, lunch, and shared testimonies from believers on the Tiger team, as well as others such as former Tiger, Frank Tanana, and announcer Ernie Harwell.   This event required advance ticket purchase, and so it is no longer available.

Other yearly events include holiday picnics, the annual Corn Roast each fall, a trip to apple orchard, including picking apples and having cider and doughnuts, and any number of activities we can think up and plan.

Whether a member, or a visitor, you are invited to come with us on our next outing.

One other event for the youth that is planned is Friday Youth Night on June 8th.  There will be music and pizza, as well as a study on school violence using two instructive videos titled, At the Edge and Bulletproof? .  For more information, contact Dan McWhorter through the contact page.
